Homemade Natural Skin Care Recipes

Make a facial mask from ingredients you already have in your pantry.

Avocado & Honey Face Mask (For dry skin)
2 tablespoons of avocado
2 tablespoons honey
1 egg yolk
Take the avocado, the egg and the honey and mix it together. Apply to your face. Let it stay on your face for about 15 min. then rinse with warm water.

Milk Bath

One of the greatest beauty secrets from ancient times were long relaxing milk baths. Here is a modern day twist on the ancient milk bath recipe using common household ingredients

1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried mint
Peel of 1 orange
2 cups boiling water
1 small box of dried milk

Pour boiling water over the rosemary, mint and orange peel and allow it to sit in the water until cool. Strain off the liquid and mix in the dried milk. Pour the herbal milk solution into your bath under warm running water. Soak in the tub.Now rinse the milk off of your skin and follow up with your favorite natural oil such as almond oil, olive oil or sesame oil.

Fresh Strawberry Mask

Strawberries have salicylic acid in them, this is the same key ingredient in many skin care products you find in department stores. This mask will help reduce blemishes.

1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon sour cream
2 teaspoons honey

Mix together all ingredients until smooth using a fork or blender. Apply to your face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat skin dry.

Olive Oil On Your Face?

I use olive oil straight on my face at night before I go to bed but if you want added benefits for a super glow try this excellent mixture.

Mix ½ cup olive oil, ½ cup water and ½ cup vinegar. Use this mixture as a night cream for your skin. You might smell like a salad but… Wow! Really great skin in the morning!

The Olive Oil Facial:

Wet your face thoroughly, apply olive oil and massage it on your face. Now take half tea spoon of sugar and mix it with a little honey. Scrub your face thoroughly but gently. Then rinse your face with warm water. Your skin will feel and look amazing!

Foods That Fight Wrinkles

Did you know that eating strawberries and other foods can fight wrinkles?

Eating Strawberries, citrus fruits, red peppers, and broccoli regularly will help you fight the signs of aging because they contain vitamin C and vitamin C is crucial for the production of collagen. When you have enough collagen in your skin it will ward off wrinkles.
Try to eat two servings of fruit (Citrus preferably) and a serving of red peppers and/or broccoli each day.
